Statements and confirmations are issued directly by the custodian, and clients can verify their holdings independently at any time through the custodian’s reporting channels.

Guaranteed Investment Certificates (GICs) offered through Frontwater’s GICdirect service are issued by third-party financial institutions. Eligible deposits are insured by the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC), Credit Union Deposit Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (CUDIC), Deposit Guarantee Corporation of Manitoba (DGCM), Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation of Saskatchewan (CUDGC), or the equivalent provincial deposit insurer, in each case subject to applicable coverage limits and eligibility rules. Rates shown anywhere on this site are indicative, subject to change without notice, and depend on deposit size, term, and issuer availability at the time of application.

The GIC rates displayed on the GICdirect page of this website are sourced daily from publicly available information published at GICdirect.com and reflect the best rates we observe across the issuers shown on that source. Rates are provided for illustrative purposes only, may be delayed by up to 24 hours, and are not bookable quotes. The rate ultimately available to a client depends on the deposit amount, term, account type, and issuer availability at the moment the deposit is placed. Frontwater Capital is not affiliated with GICdirect, and inclusion of any rate or issuer on this site does not constitute an endorsement of that issuer.
